Flamengo's U-17 team took to the field on Thursday night (22) and ended up being defeated by rivals Vasco by 2-0, in São Januário, in a classic valid for the penultimate round of Group B of the Brazilian Championship in the category. With the result, Rubro-Negro remains with 13 points, in third place in its group.

The game
The derby started off well-contested and evenly matched, with both teams scrutinizing each other. Flamengo's first good opportunity came in the 20th minute. Lucyan crossed into the box, and Wallace Yan headed wide.

Vasco, in turn, had more possession and threatened the Flamengo goal with shots from outside the box. However, Flamengo created the best chances. The first half was lively and full of scoring opportunities, but neither team managed to break the deadlock.
