Next weekend, Flamengo's youth team returns to the field for the Junior State Championship after almost a month. The competition was interrupted on May 19th, when Flamengo defeated Macaé 4-1, and was suspended for the Belo Horizonte Cup. On Saturday, at 15 pm, the team from Gávea faces Madureira in Conselheiro Galvão, in a crucial match for the team's hopes in the competition.

Flamengo has 19 points and is second in the table, just one point behind Vasco, who has 20. Madureira is third, with 16. Vasco, in turn, faces Bangu.

Coach Paulo Henrique's squad hasn't yet been finalized for the match, as some of his key players are already integrated into the professional squad. Camacho and Diego Maurício, for example, have been playing regularly for the first team. Despite this, left-back Jorbison believes the team has what it takes to win.

"I'm excited. I don't know if Camacho, Diego, Saba and Galhardo will play, but regardless of the lineup, I believe the team will go for this title, which is our objective," he said.

In the first round, Fluminense was the champion. The winner of the Taça Rio will face Tricolor in the state championship final.
