On Tuesday night (11) Flamengo and Oeste played an electrifying game in the third round of Group 29, for the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, in Barueri. After losing, Mais Querido went after and sought a 3-3 draw that guaranteed them the classification in first place of the group for the second phase of the competition.

The game

The match began with a very measured approach, with both teams working possession in search of space. The Ninho Boys were the first to take the initiative. In the fourth minute, Pedrinho came down the left and crossed the ball into the box, which flew past everyone dangerously. Mateusão's rebound sent the ball clearing the goal line. Pedrinho then received the ball at the edge of the box and shot, but the Oeste goalkeeper saved it.

On the counterattack after Pedrinho's shot, Oeste advanced quickly, and Popó opened the scoring—Flamengo's first goal in the competition. In the 9th minute, after putting pressure on the ball, the Paulista team scored the second goal of the match with striker Tite.

In the 12th minute, Flamengo arrived at speed down the right, and Victor Hugo shot dangerously. But then, after a corner kick, Tite scored his second goal of the match and Oeste's third.

In the 21st minute, Flamengo descended down the right and created a threat. After Victor Hugo's cross, the opposing goalkeeper cleared it before Mateusão ​​could finish. From the corner kick, Pedrinho headed wide.

Late in the first half, Victor Hugo received a lofted pass and shot wide, but it was deflected. The corner kick fell to Peterson, who fired a dangerous shot. João Victor still had time to receive the ball inside the box and shoot wide, but the ball skimmed the post. The boys battled until the end, but Oeste went into halftime with the advantage.

The Mais Querido returned for the second half with three changes: Kayke David, Kayque Soares, and Igor Jesus replaced Pedrinho, João Victor, and Lucas André, respectively. The changes quickly paid off, and the youngsters began the second half dominating.

In the 9th minute, after a beautiful pass from Kayke David, Victor Hugo receives the ball in the box and finishes with great skill into the back of the net. Flamengo reduced the deficit to 3-1.

Immediately after, from a corner kick on the left, Otavio headed the ball, which hit Mateusão's back and slowly slipped into the back of the Oeste net. The Boys of the Nest's reaction: 3-2.

In the 17th minute, Petterson received the ball on the left, made a beautiful individual play, and passed to Victor Hugo inside the box, who shot over the bar. An incredible opportunity wasted. In the next play, Mateusão ​​received a through ball and would have been facing goal, but the referee flagged for offside.

The entries of Samuel, Carlos Daniel and Cassiano in place of Breno, Pedro Arthur and Petterson gave the team its final shape.

Flamengo held the ball for the remainder of the second half, and in the 45th minute, all the boys' hard work paid off. In a beautiful play down the left, Richard played a one-two and found Cassiano, who was driving in at the near post. The striker fired a first-time shot high into the air, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance: 3-3.

With the draw, Mais Querido finished the first phase of the São Paulo Cup at the top of Group 29.

The Garotos do Ninho return to the field next Thursday (13) to face Náutico, at 19:30 pm, at Arena Barueri, for the second phase of the Copinha.
