The "Garotos do Ninho" landed at Galeão Airport this Monday morning with the CONMEBOL Libertadores U-20 trophy. They were cheered on by the red-and-black fans in attendance.

Flamengo was crowned champion after defeating Boca Juniors (ARG) 2-1 in the grand final on Sunday, with Shola and Lorran scoring the goals. 

Mengão was undefeated champion in Uruguay. They won all their games against: Defensor (URU), Aucas (EQU), Sporting Cristal (PER), Rosario Central (ARG) and Boca Juniors (ARG).

- We really value the team's collective spirit. Naturally, some players shine individually. Thank God I was able to score the goals and do well. It's the result of our hard work. Now we rest, celebrate... Let's focus on the Brazilian Championship, the Carioca Championship, and then the World Cup," said defender and captain Iago, one of the competition's top scorers with four goals. 

Attacking midfielder Wallace Yan was the other top scorer in the U-20 Libertadores with four goals.
