In the second classic played in a week, Flamengo beat Vasco 3-2, in a comeback, on Thursday night (30), at Raulino de Oliveira, in Volta Redonda. Even conceding a goal very early in the match, the Garotos do Ninho did not lack grit, disposition and desire to turn the game around, as goalkeeper Hugo Souza says.

"We were a more competitive team than in the last game. Our second half in the other match wasn't good. Today we didn't start well either, but the early goal we conceded helped wake the team up. We were able to correct our mistakes and we had no lack of determination, no lack of grit, and no lack of desire to win. That's what made the difference here today."

The Rubro-Negra defense is very well served by Hugo Souza, who had a performance worthy of a national team player with at least three great saves, and a center-back who has been showing his eye for goal, especially in derbies. Besides scoring in last week's match, Dantas showed he can help out defensively and contribute goals as well.

"I'm very grateful to God for everything that's happened in my life. Everything is the result of hard work, a lot of effort, a lot of dedication in training, practicing timing, working on every move. Thank God, I was crowned with two goals in two games against Vasco."

The defender also highlighted the group's commitment and determination to achieve the victory, which was essential to secure Flamengo's qualification for the semi-finals of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship.

"I want to highlight the entire team's commitment; we fought until the end. There was no lack of commitment, determination, or love. We demonstrated the determination Flamengo demands.
