The motto "Flamengo makes the best of the best at home" is always remembered when the youth academy is in action. It couldn't be any different at the Flamengo Adidas Cup, especially with world champion Andrade kicking off the opening of the international tournament on Sunday morning (4) on field 3 of CT George Helal. The idol inspired the boys who thrashed Arsenal from England 5-1.

From the start of the match, Flamengo outplayed the English team. Their intense pace kept their opponents from thinking. It wasn't long before Felipe Teresa opened the scoring in the ninth minute. The goal gave Flamengo more confidence, and they extended their lead six minutes later with Felipe Lima.

The namesake duo were on fire, and number 7 Felipe Teresa scored his second in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a clever play by Bill. Arsenal tried to fight back and pulled one back through defender Coby Small in the 32nd minute, shortly after a good chance wasted by Sebastian Ferdinand.

Before the whistle blew to end the first half, Felipe Lima also scored for the second time, a beautiful lobbed goal. The number 9 showed his intimacy, finishing with a classy chip.

The intense heat in Vargem Grande significantly slowed the pace of the match. Coach Eduardo Zuma also took advantage of the situation to make virtually the entire lineup. There were nine changes in total.

With just one change, Arsenal showed more chemistry and increased their performance, but failed to create any real scoring chances. It didn't take long for Flamengo to level the playing field again and score their fifth goal, scored by Guilherme Gomes in the 27th minute.
