On the afternoon of this Saturday (25), the Garotos do Ninho Sub-17 and Sub-15 had a double round for the Copa Rio of the respective categories, against Gonçalense, at CT das Vargens, for the second round of the tournament. The first game of the day, at 13 pm, ended with a rout of Mengão Sub-17, by 8 to 0. Afterwards, it was the turn of the Sub-15 boys, at 15 pm, to defeat the opponent from São Gonçalo with a elastic score: 4 to 0.

With these results, both categories open the competition with two consecutive victories.

The 1st game

Mengão started the match on the attack, and their attacking momentum soon paid off. In the 4th minute, after a corner kick, Pedrinho appeared alone in the box to head the ball into the back of the net: 1-0 Flamengo.

And the Nest Boys didn't slow down.

In the 12th minute, Felipe Teresa pulled off a stunning finish! A cross from the right found the striker on the edge of the box, who curled a beautiful first-time shot into the corner. The opposing goalkeeper had no chance: 2-0 Flamengo.

A few minutes later, in the 17th minute, the set piece continued to pay off. After another corner kick from the left, Pedrinho rose again and scored his second goal of the match, Flamengo's third: 3-0.

In the 31st minute, Luan Andrey scrambled into the box and was awarded a penalty. David scored his first goal from the penalty spot: 4-0 Flamengo. Still in the first half, in the 40th minute, David received the ball on the right and shot first time, the ball hitting the post and ending up in the back of the net: 5-0 Flamengo. 

The sixth goal came early in the second half. From another set piece, it was Luan Andrey's turn to score: 6-0 Flamengo. In the 24th minute, Bill received the ball with his back to the box, turned, and shot into the corner. A truly classy goal: 7-0 Flamengo.

At the end of the match, in the 42nd minute, full-back Gustavo, who was having a great game, capped off his performance with a goal: 8-0 Flamengo. And Gustavo's goal sealed the match.

The 2st game

The U-15s' Ninho Boys repeated the same feat as the senior team, producing a first half of intense attacking activity. However, despite the number of chances created, the game went into halftime in a scoreless draw, largely due to the opposing goalkeeper's performance and Flamengo's fine finishing touches.

In the first minute of the second half, the Vargens Training Center was a real treat. Diego started the play, went into the box, received a perfect cross, and hit a beautiful bicycle kick! The ball went in: 1-0 Flamengo.

At 24', after a corner kick, Levy appeared between the defenders to extend the score for Mengão: 2-0.

In the 33rd minute, it was Antonio Neto's turn to receive the ball deep, beat the goalkeeper, and run for the win! And the next minute, Antonio Neto found the back of the net once again: 4-0 Flamengo.

Antonio Neto's two gave the final numbers to the match.
