Under-17 Ninho Boys intensify preparations ahead of their 2024 debut
The team led by Filipe Luís travels to São Paulo this week for more friendlies

After intense training and a fast-paced schedule, the squad led by Filipe Luís played three friendlies and travels to São Paulo on Thursday (February 29th) for matches against Flamengo and Palmeiras, aiming to prepare for their 02 debut.

Last Saturday, the U-17 team beat Serrano 1-0, with a goal from Lipão and an assist from Alan Santos in the second half. Previously, they had already beaten Portuguesa 5-0, with Luiz Felipe, Lucas Vieira, David (2x) and Alan Santos scoring, and Boavista 7-1, with goals from Camargo, David, Luiz Phelipe (2x), Lipão (2x) and Guilherme. Full-back Luiz Phelipe, in addition to scoring, also provided two assists. This week, they face São Paulo on Friday (01/03), and Palmeiras on Saturday (02/03), the same day they return to Rio de Janeiro.
Mengão's U-17 debut under Filipe Luís will be in the Copa Rio on Saturday, March 9th, against Cabofriense. The "Garotos do Ninho" are defending their title. In 2023, under Leonardo Ramos, Flamengo defeated Fluminense and lifted the trophy, helping to tie the record of 44 titles that year.
