Ninho Boys finish their preparations for another Semi-Final of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship

By Victor andrade - inFlamengo U-20 held their final training session for the first leg of the Brazilian Championship semifinal against Santos in Santo André. The match will take place this Friday (04) at Bruno José Daniel Stadium at 19 pm (Brasília time), with coverage on SporTV. This is Mengão's sixth consecutive appearance in this stage of the competition, the second under coach Mario Jorge.
The Ninho Boys traveled to ABC Paulista yesterday afternoon (2), without first having a training session. The activity did not include some athletes, who were available to the professional.


On the morning of this Thursday (3), Mario Jorge trained with the full group at the stadium for the first decisive match, and made the final adjustments for the clash. It is the first time that Flamengo and Santos meet in the knockout stage of the Brasileirão Sub-20.
In the competition's history, the Rubro-Negro team has the advantage, with three wins against Santos' two losses. Midfielder Pedrinho spoke about his preparation for the match:
"We're very happy with another Brazilian semifinal. We're working hard, coming off a good victory in the quarterfinals. It's been a great week of work, very intense. And we'll go in tomorrow and give our all for Flamengo to get a big advantage in the home decider.", said.


Still regarding the history between the teams, Flamengo's U-20 team has already faced Santos for the BH Junior Football Cup (the last edition was in 2014), considered one of the main competitions in the category, with Mengão having 3 titles (1986, 2003 and 2007). There were 4 matches in total, 2 victories for Flamengo and 2 draws, with two classifications over Santos, both for the semifinals (2009 and 2012).
