On Tuesday afternoon (1), Mengão's U-17s did their last training session before the match against América-MG, for the Brazilian Championship in the category. The Garotos do Ninho will only take to the field tomorrow (2), at 15 pm, but they came to the capital of Minas Gerais two days before the match, where they held training this afternoon.

Flamengo sits third in Group A of the tournament with 7 points and is coming off a victory in its last match against Corinthians. Tomorrow's match is crucial for the team to maintain its position in the top four of the group, which grants access to the next stage of the Brasileirão U-4.

Coach Léo Ramos spoke about the work done and the expectation of a positive result.

"The preparation was very good. We trained until yesterday at Ninho, and today we're finishing up here in Belo Horizonte. We preferred to arrive 48 hours early so the boys could rest the day before the game. We're coming off an important result. A win tomorrow will keep us up there, increasingly fighting for better positions. I believe we're prepared and confident to go for the three points."

Victor Thiago, the team captain, spoke about Wednesday's opponent.

“The América team is very strong, but I'm sure we're well prepared and will arrive tomorrow in good shape to seek victory and stay at the top of the table.”

The match will be held at Sesc Venda Nova and will be broadcast on FlaTV, starting at 14:30 pm.
