With coach Léo Ramos's timely substitutions in the second half, Flamengo won another match in the Rio U-17 Cup. In the double round (previously the U-15s won 5-4), in Gávea, the red-black team defeated Madureira 4-0 this Friday (21), in Gávea. The goals for the red-black team were scored by Felipe Lima, David Viana, Christian and Menegatti.

The game
After a very lively and evenly matched first half, in which Flamengo had a few scoring opportunities but failed to do so, the second half was a different story. Within 15 minutes, with wholesale changes (four players), the Mais Querido managed to score.

Pedro Lemos hit the crossbar from a corner kick, and Felipe Lima, with his first touch, tapped it into the back of the net: 1-0. The second goal came from a penalty awarded to Menegatti. Top scorer David Viana converted the penalty with skill in the 33th minute of the second half. Two minutes later, Christian scored, following a fine play by David.

And to top it off, Menegatti scored his goal in the 44th minute of the second half. With this result, the Mais Querido remains very close to leaders Botafogo.

Copa do Brasil
Flamengo's U-17s will turn their attention to the first game of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, when they will face Vasco, at 3 pm, at the opponent's stadium.
