The Ninho Boys have a date to discover their opponents in the U-20 Libertadores
The tournament will be played in Uruguay between March 2nd and 17th
By Gabriel Lima* - inThe reigning Brazilian U-20 champion, Flamengo, will compete in the CONMEBOL Libertadores for the second time. The "Garotos do Ninho" (Nest Boys) already know when they will discover their opponents. The group draw will take place on February 13th at noon at CONMEBOL headquarters in Paraguay.
The competition will be played in Uruguay, from March 2nd to 17th, in two phases (group stage and knockout rounds), and will feature 12 teams: Boca Juniors (ARG), Rosario Central (ARG), Always Ready (BOL), Flamengo (BRA), TBC (CHI), Águilas Doradas (COL), Aucas (EQU), Olimpia (PAR), Sporting Cristal (PER), Defensor Sporting Club (URU), Montevideo City Torque (URU) and Academia Puerto Cabello (VEN).
There will be three groups of four teams, with the first and second-place teams qualifying for the knockout stage. Flamengo is in Pot 3, along with Águilas Doradas (COL) and the Chilean representative. In 2020, Mengão competed in the competition for the first time and finished third.
