The U-15 Ninho Boys did their part and beat Volta Redonda 2-0 this Saturday afternoon in Gávea, in the final round of the Guanabara Cup. Levy and Ryan Roberto scored the goals for Mengão.
With this positive result, Flamengo finished the qualifying phase in second place and will have the advantage of playing their second quarter-final game at home.
The goals:
With ample territorial dominance in both halves, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) built its lead with defender Levy's goal in the 12th minute of the first half. Diego made a beautiful run down the right and crossed perfectly for the red-and-black number 4 to score.
Just six minutes into the second half, it was Ryan Roberto, the game's standout performer, who scored. In a solo effort, the midfielder unleashed a beautiful shot from outside the box, which bounced off the crossbar, deflected off the goalkeeper's back, and went in.
The third goal proved to be a masterpiece. In the 34th minute, defender Ryan Gabriel found Jhefinho just outside the six-yard box; the number 10, with a first-time touch, left Pauaca free to tap it into the back of the net.
Flamengo lineup:
Paulo; Luiz Miguel, Ryan Gabriel, Levy and Matheus Tiago; Enzo, Diego, Luiz Felipe and Jhefinho; Ryan Roberto and Victor Hugo.
Entered: Pauaca, Bernardo Mendonça and Gabriel.
Coach: Vinicius Durante.
