The U-19 Ninho Boys travel on Saturday (17) to Rabat, Morocco, where they will compete in the International Tournament. In addition to Mais Querido, which makes its debut, the competition features the participation of Liverpool-ING, Sevilla-ESP, Galatasaray-TUR, Braga-POR, among others. There are teams from 11 countries, 7 European, 2 African and one Asian, with Mengão, the only South American representative.

After a strong start to 2024 with a strong run in the Copinha, while also representing the professional team in two matches in the Carioca, the Garotos do Ninho now head to Africa in search of their first international title of the year. Their debut will be against the home team, Faith Union, on Tuesday (20). Flamengo is in Group C, which also includes Copenhagen from Denmark. Coach Raphael Bahia spoke about the trip.

  • "We have very good expectations. It's the first international trip of the year. We know we'll be facing international teams with more experience than us. But we hope to have a good competition, and who knows, maybe it could bring Flamengo's first youth title in 2024," said the U-20B coach.
