Copinha group splits, and 12 athletes return for Carioca

The Ninho Boys will be available for professional football and will play two matches in the competition.

Following the plan established between professional and youth football, 12 athletes return to Rio de Janeiro for two matches of the Campeonato Carioca, while the main team will be in the United States.


Shortly after the victory over Audax-SP in the final round of the Copa São Paulo group stage, the players were notified (see the list below), along with coach Mario Jorge and five other members of the coaching staff. Thus, Raphael Bahia, who was already in Osasco with the delegation, takes over the team, with Eduardo Zuma, the U-5 coach, as his assistant. Additionally, goalkeeper João Vitor Cangane, left-back Germano, midfielders João Victor Alves and Menegatti, and forward Felipe Lima join the group in São Paulo.


Goalkeepers: Dyogo Alves and Caio Barone;

Full-backs: Daniel Sales, Lucyan and Zé Welinton;

Defender: Diegão;

Defensive midfielders: Rayan Lucas and Caio Garcia;

Attacking midfielder: Lorran;

Attackers: Petterson, Werton and Pedro Estevam.
