Flamengo is eliminated from the U-17 Brazil Cup. The Mais Querido faced Sport Recife, on Tuesday night (03), at Ilha no Retiro and with a 1-1 draw ended up saying goodbye to the competition. In the first leg, at Gávea, the teams drew 3-3 and due to the qualified goal criterion, the Pernambuco team advanced to the semifinals.
Mengão opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Alisson in the 20th minute. In a tight match, the "Garotos do Ninho" were surprised in the second half with the Pernambuco team's equalizer. Thus, Flamengo's U-17 team leaves the Copa do Brasil in this category undefeated: four wins (against Náutico and Goiás) and two draws, against Sport, the team that eliminated them.
Now, the team's attention turns to competing in the Carioca Championship in the category.
