Thursday features Fla x Flu in Brasília, for the Brazilian Championship, and the U-16 Garotos do Ninho anticipate the confrontation this Wednesday (6), when they face Tricolor, in Xerém, at 9 am, for the 4th round of the Guilherme Embry Tournament (state championship of the category). Current champions of the competition, the Rubro-Negros arrive at this round in second position with two wins and a draw, totaling eight points.

The future of Flamengo depends on these young players, who are already starting to get used to the pressure of a classic match like Fla x Flu. After this morning's training session, coach Ramom Lima commented on his expectations for the game.

“It’s not a normal game, it’s a classic with a lot of history and tradition in Brazilian football. There’s a whole special preparation involved. The boys already feel a different atmosphere, they know it’s a unique game. It’s not a common game of the year, we don’t play against Fluminense that often in the state championship. We hope to have a great match and prepare in the best way possible,” the coach highlighted.

The Flamengo youth team is having a great moment. Besides being undefeated in the Guilherme Embry Tournament, Ramom Lima's team won the 8th Hamdan International Football Championship in Dubai in April, also undefeated, after defeating Real Madrid 4-2 on penalties. Our youth academy is flying high!
