The game
Flamengo started the match putting a lot of pressure on São Paulo's ball possession, exchanging passes and creating good scoring opportunities, but it wasn't until the 42nd minute that the ball hit the back of the net. Felipe Vizeu took advantage of a beautiful steal by Trindade and, on the rebound, finished perfectly, opening the scoring for Flamengo.
In the second half, with qualification practically secured, Flamengo continued to create more chances and opportunities than São Paulo, and again in the final minutes, at the 44th minute, Vizeu extended the lead for the Rubro-Negro: 2-0. The referee added four minutes of stoppage time, but the score remained the same until the final whistle.
"I was happy to score both goals and our fans once again showed up to support us. That's very important. I'm a center forward and I know it's crucial to be in the right place at the right time. We'll continue to keep our feet on the ground and remain humble. I want to thank the fans for their support," he said.
Zé Ricardo, the coach of the Flamengo team, celebrated another positive result for the boys, who remain undefeated in the competition.
"The victory was very important for the group, a capital one, in every sense of the word. We also had an enthusiastic crowd present. We fought for the result until the end, and it was crucial for the boys to have that support," he declared.
