Flamengo's youth team will be back on Wednesday (September 01.09st) at 15 p.m. at Ninho do Urubu in Vargem Grande. Players and coaching staff will begin preparations for the Octávio Pinto Guimarães Cup. Flamengo is in Group F of the competition, alongside Vasco, Tigres do Brasil, América, Volta Redonda, Madureira and the first-place team from Group D, which will be determined later.

Led by coach Paulo Henrique, Flamengo has 28 players on its roster. The big change is on the coaching staff, with the arrival of new assistant Marcelo Martoreli. A highly accomplished professional, Martoreli has worked with the first team as a physical training assistant and won several titles.

"The arrival of a professional of this caliber only serves to further qualify the work that has been developed," analyzed Paulo Henrique.

The young prospects' first week of work promises to be very busy, as they will undergo medical, physiological, psychological, physical and technical exams.

"Our entire preseason will be at Ninho do Urubu. In the first week, we'll conduct assessments and also introduce ball work. It's important that structural work is done during this period," stated Paulo Henrique.
