Flamengo's junior team left for Minas Gerais this Wednesday morning (15.08) to compete in the BH Junior Football Cup, which will take place from August 15 to September 2. The red-black team, which has already brought three titles from this competition to Gávea, debuts on Thursday (16.08), against Guarani, from Pará de Minas, at the José Porfírio Stadium, at 19:30 pm.

The team's coach, Cleber dos Santos, praised the high expectations for this year's competition.

"We have a great prospect for competing in this important national competition, due to the quality of our players, who are giving their all in each training session and are eager to hone their individual and collective skills. Flamengo has won the Taça BH three times, and we want to bring another title to Gávea."

The clubs participating in the competition are represented by athletes born between 1993 and 1996. The teams were divided into six groups and Rubro-Negro is in group A, along with América-MG, Guarani Pará-MG, Pedro Leopoldo, Santos and Coritiba.
