With no chance of winning the title, Flamengo took to the field for another round of the Taça Rio de Juniores on Saturday morning (26.06), at the Los Larios stadium, in Xerém. The red-blacks faced the home team, Tigres, and drew 0-0. Next Wednesday (30.06), the kids from Gávea will play again in the second round of the State Championship, against América, in Edson Passos.

Flamengo entered the field with several players missing, once again. Even so, coach Paulo Henrique's team dominated the match and could have even emerged with a better result. With the draw, Flamengo reached 23 points in the standings and remained in fourth place. Vasco is the leader, and if they maintain their position, they will face Fluminense, the Guanabara Cup champion, in the final.

"We ended up not being able to convert the superiority we had into goals. The team improved, played well, but ended up drawing 0-0," explained the coach.

The red-blacks played with Diego, João Felipe, China, Christianno and Jorbison; Luiz Antônio, João Vitor, Maycon, Guilherme and Anderson; Ricardinho.
