Juniors face Olaria on Rua Bariri

Rubro-Negro returns to the field for the Taça Rio Sub-20, this Wednesday afternoon, away from home

Coming off a loss in a derby against Fluminense, Flamengo's youth team is looking to bounce back in the Taça Rio, the second round of the U-20 Carioca Championship, this Wednesday. The Flamengo youth team faces Olaria away from home at Rua Bariri at 15 p.m., needing a win to remain in contention for the title, which would take coach Paulo Henrique's team to the State Championship final against Fluminense, the Taça Guanabara champion.

The 2-1 loss to their rivals at Gávea didn't discourage the red-and-blacks. Quite the opposite. The team is even more motivated to prove its worth. The squad has already been selected for the match and will once again be reinforced by Guilherme Camacho, who plays for the senior team but is still old enough to compete in youth competitions. Defender Christianno, on the other hand, is experiencing the opposite. Still a member of the youth team, he is training with the senior team during the week and will not play against Olaria.

Flamengo will take to the field with Marcelo Carné, Galhardo, Marlon, Henrique and Jorbison; Luiz Antônio, João Vitor, Guilherme and Camacho; Diego Maurício and Ricardinho.
