After beating their biggest rival in the youth ranks, Fluminense, 1-0 last Sunday at Maracanã, Flamengo's youth team returns to play at Gávea this Wednesday. And the intention is to erase from their memory the stumble against Americano last Wednesday, when the team failed to capitalize on having an extra player for the entire second half and was held to a 1-1 draw.

Later, at 17 p.m., the young Flamengo team will host Olaria. Still undefeated in the competition, Flamengo leads the Guanabara Cup standings with four wins and one draw in five games. All the teams considered big have dropped more points than coach Armênio Moura's team. Even so, captain Christianno believes the team must remain serious; after all, they can't afford to drop any more points.

"We talked a lot about the game against Americano and decided that this can't happen again, especially at our home ground. The championship is a points-based league, and we can't afford to drop points like that. Up ahead, it could be a problem. But that match is in the past, we beat Fluminense, we're in the lead, and we'll work to maintain that position," said the defender.

The starting lineup features some changes compared to the derby squad. Full-backs Galhardo and Jorbison remain in the medical department, while midfielder Saba has also returned. In defense, young Marlon pairs with Christianno. The lineup now consists of Marcelo Carné, Alex, Marlon, Christianno, and Anderson; Luiz Antônio, João Victor, Dieguinho, and Juninho; and Guilherme and Diego Maurício.
