Youth is champion in both categories at Sebastião Leônidas

Flamengo won the Sebastião Leônidas Tournament last Saturday morning (March 05.03th) at Caio Martins Stadium. In both the under-16 and under-19 categories, Flamengo faced Botafogo in the final match of the championship. In the points-based competition, the under-16 team had already taken the field with the title already secured. The under-19 team needed a victory to celebrate and achieved their goal. In both matches, Botafogo opened the scoring and "Mais Querido" won in a comeback.

Sub-16
Disputed by those born in 2000, the U-16 tournament entered the field undefeated and with the title. In the match that took place to fulfill the schedule, Botafogo opened the scoring. But Flamengo equalized and made it 3-1. Wendel, Luan, and Vitor Gabriel scored all three goals in the victory.
Sub-19
In the competition, which was intended for those born in 1997, Flamengo fielded players born in 1999 and won the title with players two years younger than the tournament's age limit. Needing a victory over Botafogo in the final round to win the title, the Mais Querido started the match trailing 2-1. With three goals from Vinicius Junior and one from Cavalheira, they won 0-4 and took the category's first trophy of the year to Gávea.
Sub-20
In the Juniors, Flamengo lost to Bangu, 1-0, on Saturday (5), in Gávea. In the following round, also playing at home, they recovered with a 4-0 win over Madureira, on Wednesday (9). The next match will be against Friburguense, on Sunday (13).
