Klebinho is champion in the USA with the U-17 team

Brazil beats home team 4-1 in North American tournament final, returning to the scoreline of the 2013 final

With the red-and-black right-back Klebinho playing as a starter, the Brazilian U-17 team thrashed the United States 4-1 last Tuesday (02.12) and won the Nike Friendlies Tournament for the first time. The team's debut had already been with another thrashing, over Australia, 4-0. In the second match, Brazil and England drew 2-2.

In the last edition of the championship, in 2013, the national team finished runner-up after losing by exactly the same score, 4-1, to the same opponent this year. Klebinho was at that match and recounted what it felt like to turn the score around.

"It's always good to win a final, and even more so against the home team. The victory had a special flavor, especially because when we lost last year, they taunted us after the game. On that occasion, we really didn't play well, but a year passed and we came back stronger, physically and psychologically, and we managed to become champions, coincidentally returning the same score," recalled the Flamengo full-back, who also celebrated the chance to play abroad.

"Being on the national team is a good opportunity to compete in international tournaments. This year I was also in Mexico with Brazil (for the Mexico Cup of Nations)," said the young player, who also participated in a national team tournament in Chile with the hosts, the USA and Qatar, in 2014.

After this tour with Brazil, Klebinho and his teammates from Flamengo's under-17 team are on vacation and will return on January 19th.
