In search of a spot in the Libertadores Sub-20 semifinals, Flamengo will face Independiente Medellín this Friday (13), at 19 pm (21 pm, Brasília time), at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa, in Quito. A draw already guarantees the Rubro-Negro a place among the top four in the tournament. FlamengoTV will broadcast the match with exclusive images and content recorded directly from the Ecuadorian capital.

After winning their first two matches against Estudiantes de Mérida-VEN and Bolívar-BOL, by the same score (4-1) and with the same lineup, Bruno Pivetti's team will have at least one change. Da Mata, who has scored two goals in the competition, is suspended after receiving two yellow cards. The coach has Daniel Carvalho and Ernest Muñoz as options for the defense.

The day before the last group stage game of the Libertadores Sub-20 was spent on tactical training and set pieces on Thursday afternoon (12), at the CT do Aucas field. Pivetti fine-tuned all the details aiming for the third victory in the tournament. If they qualify, Flamengo will return to the field for the semi-final next Thursday (19), at the Independiente del Valle stadium, in the Ecuadorian capital.

Recovery has been a major focus in the team's schedule for the group stage, given that there are three games in less than a week. Gym work, swimming, and plenty of physiotherapy are part of the athletes' daily routine, alongside ball work, so that the Flamengo youth team can take to the field 100% prepared.
