Today was one of those days when the soccer gods took the field to face off against each other. In a match valid for the second round of the RS Internacional U-20 Cup, Flamengo was infinitely superior to Juventude throughout the 90 minutes, creating numerous scoring chances, hitting the post, and completely dominating the action and possession. Cornered, the Gaucho team relied on goalkeeper Willian, who made some great saves. In the 40th minute of the second half, when the game was a veritable attack against defense, the Gauchos found a goal and defeated the Mais Querido 1-0. Now, the red-and-black team's situation in the competition becomes very complicated. With two losses in as many games, the "Garotos do Ninho" will need to beat Cruzeiro and Ponte Preta, and also hope for a combination of results to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Just two minutes into the game, João Pedro took a dangerous free kick that was safely saved by goalkeeper Willian. Juventude threatened in the sixth minute, with a shot from Arthur. In the eighth minute, João Pedro found a good pass to Lucas Silva. He burst into the box at high speed, but pushed the ball too far forward and was smothered by Willian, who saved the team from Rio Grande do Sul. Flamengo was superior on the field and controlled the match, with more possession and a more objective attack. In the 22nd minute, João Pedro received the ball at the edge of the box and fired a conscious shot. The ball went just wide of the left corner. 

In the 34th minute, Lucas Silva received the ball on the left wing, dribbled past the defender, and delivered a great pass to João Pedro, who arrived a second too late and couldn't reach the ball with the goal open to open the scoring for the Mais Querido. In the 37th minute, Lucas Silva unleashed a bomb from outside the box. The ball exploded off the post, hit the goalkeeper's back, and was cleared by the defense. The first goal for the red-and-black team was growing increasingly close. Bruno took a dangerous free kick for Juventude in the 40th minute, and Hugo Souza made a good save. The Boys from the Nest went into the locker room with a massive advantage on the field, but still with the score at XNUMX-XNUMX.

The second half began as the first had ended: with the Mais Querido (Team Mais Querido) playing much better and creating excellent scoring chances. In the third minute, Aderlan crossed into the box, Gustavo missed the near post, and Lucas Silva narrowly missed opening the scoring with a sliding tackle. The ball ended up in Willian's hands. In the 13th minute, Vitor Gabriel battled with the defense, burst into the box, and struck hard. Willian released the ball, and on the rebound, the center forward was brought down inside the box, but the referee allowed play to continue.
