After finishing the group stage in sole leadership of their group, with good victories over Aparecidense (GO) and XV de Jaú (SP), both by 2x1, and a 0x0 draw against Floresta (CE) in the debut, the Garotos do Ninho had three training sessions before the clash that is worth a place in the third phase of the Copinha. The winner will face whoever wins Ceilândia (DF) x Floresta (CE).

"Our group is used to playing decisive matches and winning, and that's what we'll find here at the Copinha from now on. We're well prepared for this type of match, focused and confident that we can perform at our best on the field, to take another step towards our goal," said defender and captain Darlan.
