Flamengo began its journey in the Rio U-17 Cup this Saturday by beating Cabofriense 5-1 at Cefan, with goals from Lipão, Cardoso, Joshua, Camargo and Christian. The match was marked by the official debut as coach of idol Filipe Luis, who retired from the field at the end of last year. The game

Flamengo started the match strongly, with Joshua delivering a beautiful pass from the first play to Lipão, who opened the scoring for Flamengo. Flamengo continued to press their opponents until Johnny headed the ball from a corner kick, but the goalkeeper saved it, but Cardoso was there to convert it and score another goal for Flamengo.

In the 24th minute, Douglas Telles stole the ball from the opponent and connected with Joshua, who was coming down the left, and passed it back to the number 7, who shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. In the next play, the two attacked again, but this time, the Rubro-Negro number 10 scored. The first half ended 3-0.

The second half began with Flamengo controlling the match, until Filipe Luis changed the lineup and brought on striker Camargo, who immediately scored Mengão's fourth goal. In the 26th minute, Cabofriense reduced the deficit.

The red-black team tried to respond with Ryan Roberto, who finished from the edge of the area over the opponent's goal.

To finish the match and close the score, Christian, who came off the bench, scored Mengão's fifth and final goal.
