The Boys of the Nest returned to the field this Thursday (12) and beat Alianza Lima 3-2 at CT George Helal, in the third round of the Flamengo adidas Cup, presented by Indrive. Mengão took the lead with goals from Ryan Roberto (2) and Diego. In the second half, the Peruvian team reacted by scoring twice. With the result, Flamengo secured their first victory in the competition, adding four points in Group A, and will seek qualification for the next phase. The red-black team faces Santos Laguna on Saturday (14).

The game
Just a minute into the match, Mengão opened the scoring at Ninho do Urubu. Ryan Roberto drove down the left, entered the box, and fired a shot into the goalkeeper's left corner: 1-0. After the red-and-black goal, Alianza came out more involved, forcing goalkeeper Dudu into two great saves around the 17th minute.

In the 24th minute, Ryan Roberto again made a good run down the left, burst into the box, and shot. The ball went wide of the net. Two minutes later, the Boys from the Nest doubled their lead! Jhefinho made a run through the middle and passed to Diego, who fired home a first-time shot that left the goalkeeper with no chance: 2-0. Dominating the action, the Red-Blacks went into halftime with a partial victory.

In the second half, the Ninho Boys continued to value possession in the attacking half and scored the third goal just five minutes in. Ryan Roberto drove the ball to the edge of the box and slotted it into the corner for his second goal of the match: 3-0.

Alianza scored the equalizer in the 14th minute with Aragon Rivas, who got past two red-black markers and hit a beautiful shot into the corner, scoring the Peruvian team's first goal: 3-1. At the 30th minute mark, Hurtado, who came on in the second half, scored the second for Alianza Lima: 3-2.

In the final minutes, the red-black team managed to withstand the pressure from the Peruvians and left the field with their first victory in the competition.
