A great start! Flamengo thrashed Aster Brasil 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon (28), in Gávea, and advanced to the next stage of the Copa do Brasil U-20. Wesley, Santiago, Ryan Luka (2) and Dudu scored the red-black goals in the match. Now, Mengão will face América-MG in the round of XNUMX.

The game
Mengão's U-20s started the match with more attacking momentum, attempting to penetrate the box. The Ninho Boys pressured Aster's ball out and managed to steal possession in their own half. In the 12th minute, Flamengo opened the scoring at Gávea! Daniel Cabral took a corner kick from the left, Wesley rose above everyone and headed it stylishly into the net: 1-0.

Then, Mengão extended their lead with a stunning goal! Santiago took a free kick from the edge of the box and hit it into the goalkeeper's left corner to make it 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Ryan Luka controlled the ball inside the box, turned, and struck. The ball hit the crossbar and went wide. With complete control of the match, Mais Querido went into halftime with a two-goal lead.

Early in the second half, Aster reduced the deficit with a beautiful volley from Fred: 2-1. In the 16th minute, Vinícius was brought down in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Ryan Luka stepped up to take the penalty and only displaced the goalkeeper to score Mengão's third: 3-1.

The Ninho Boys then scored their fourth goal. Wesley, playing excellently, made a good run down the right and crossed into the box. Dudu, who came on in the second half, tapped the ball into the back of the net: 4-1.

And there was still time for Mengão to score the fifth! In the 36th minute, Dudu delivered a beautiful pass to Ryan Luka, who was unmarked and free, and just tapped it into the goalkeeper's corner to score his second goal of the game: 5-1. With a resounding score, the Rubro-Negro qualified for the next stage of the Copa do Brasil U-20.
