Metropolitano: Flamengo is qualified for 5 finals

First leg matches will take place this weekend.

The Metropolitan Championship is reaching its final stretch, and Flamengo's youth academy is once again showing its strength. The U-9, U-10, U-11, U-13, and U-14 categories secured spots in the final, thanks to their results last weekend. Unfortunately, the only team that didn't achieve this distinction was the U-12 team.

The first leg matches of the finals will take place starting this weekend. The times and locations will be announced soon.

The U-9 team, Garotos do Ninho, faced Ascaer in the semifinals and won twice, with an aggregate score of 16-0. In the final, their opponent will be Fluminense. The same will happen to the U-10 team, which defeated Madureira in the semifinals, with an aggregate score of 2-0.

The U-11s, on merit, beat their rivals Vasco twice in the semis, with a spectacular aggregate score of 7-0. The U-13s, in turn, eliminated Botafogo (2-0 in both games) and will face Fluminense in the final, with the first game being decided away from home.

Champions of every competition they've played in this year (Brazilian Championship, Albano Tournament in Italy, and the Voltaço Cup), the U-14s faced Serrano in the semifinals. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, the "Mais Querido" defeated the Petrópolis team 5-0 in the second leg. Their opponent in the final will be Vasco.
