Flamengo's under-13 soccer team became champions of the II Copa Ceu by defeating CE Ubaense, this Sunday (29.07), by 3 to 0, in Uba (MG). Wendel (2) and Breno scored the goals for the red-black team. This is the second title won by the under-XNUMX team this year, in two competitions played.

After debuting with a 5-0 thrashing of Itararé, Flamengo defeated América 4-0 in the second leg. In the third round, the Gávea team defeated Instituto Juizforano 3-0. In the Copa semifinal, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Aserita in regular time but dominated the penalty shootout, winning 4-2.

The team's coach, Gilmar Popoca, couldn't hide his emotion when lifting the trophy with the red-black kids.

"The competition was incredibly difficult due to the consecutive days of matches. Our team had no rest, and yet we managed to bring another victory this year to Gávea. This team is truly worth its weight in gold," the coach declared.

The next competition for the Gávea boys will be the Campeonato Carioca, held in August.
