In the second leg of the Carioca Sub-15 quarterfinals, Flamengo beat Vasco 4-1 on Thursday morning (4), at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium. The Rubro-Negro's goals were scored by David (2), Lorran and Pedrinho. With the result, Mengão managed to reverse the score of the first leg and qualified for the semifinals of the championship.  

The game
Just one minute in, Vasco opened the scoring with their first attack of the match: 1-0. Then, in the seventh minute, Mengão equalized! Felipe made a great play down the right, crossed the ball, and the goalkeeper rebounded. David, well-positioned, pushed it into the net: 1-1.

In the 14th minute, the Ninho Boys turned the score around! Lorran led a counterattack, advanced through the middle, dribbled past the defense, and shot into the goalkeeper's left corner: 2-1. After taking the lead, the red-and-black team continued to pressure Vasco and dominated the attack. Lorran stood out, moving extensively in attack, setting up plays and finishing on goal.

In the 33rd minute, Mengão scored again with David! Lorran, on the right side of the box, cut inside the defender and passed to the red-and-black center forward who finished in the far corner of the goal: 3-1. The Mais Querido went into the break needing just one more goal to qualify.  

Early in the second half, David made an excellent individual play on the left, took the lead, burst into the box, and hit a cross. The ball went just wide of the post. As the game progressed, Vasco began to pick up the pace and close down the spaces, making it difficult for the red-and-black team to get the ball in play.

And what seemed unlikely, happened! At the 32nd minute, Mengão scored the fourth goal! Pedrinho, who had just come on, received the ball inside the box and fired a first-time shot into the corner to secure the red-and-blacks' qualification to the semifinals of the Carioca U-15: 4-1.

Now, Mais Querido awaits its semi-final opponent, which will come from the clash between Botafogo and Nova Iguaçu.
