Mengão's under-14 boys got off to a flying start in the second half of the Metropolitan Championship (Taça Rio). The current Guanabara Cup champions defeated Portuguesa 4-1 in Gávea in the first round of the Taça Rio. Reinier (2), Rodrigo, and Hugo scored the red-and-black goals.

With the victory, Flamengo occupies second place in Group B. The next match for the Biggest in the World will be Sunday (11), against Campos, at 14 pm, in Gávea.
