In a game played in the 13th round of the Brasileirão Sub-20, Flamengo ended up being beaten by Athletico-PR by 2 to 0, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (10), in Gávea. Now, the Garotos do Ninho turn the key and focus on the classic with Botafogo, for the Guanabara Cup of the category.  

The game
The first moves of the match saw the Ninho Boys looking to exchange passes to attack. In the 9th minute, Guilherme controlled the ball inside and took a shot, but the ball went wide.

Another dangerous move for the red-and-blacks came in the 17th minute. Shola received the ball on the left and took a shot from the edge of the box, but the ball went over the goal. Daniel Sales then surged forward on the right and crossed into the box, which Wallace Yan hit first time, and the ball went just wide of the goalkeeper's left post.

Dominating the attack, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) easily reached the attack, especially down the left flank with Shola. But it was Athletico that ended up taking the lead with Sorriso, who capitalized on a cross into the box to head the ball past the red-and-black goalkeeper: 1-0.

Trailing, Flamengo continued to push forward and level the score before halftime. Despite creating chances, the red-and-black team ended the first half trailing.

In the first minute of the second half, the Ninho Boys nearly opened the scoring. Ainoã, who had just come on, crossed into the box, Weliton controlled it, and shot, but the goalkeeper saved, preventing the equalizer.

In the 7th minute, Athletico extended their lead with a goal from outside the box by Lucca. Goalkeeper Dyogo Alves stretched out but couldn't stop it: 2-0.

Flamengo continued to create chances on the attack, but the ball refused to go in. In the 17th minute, Ainoã came in from the left and crossed for Guilherme to head in. The ball went wide. 

In the final stretch, Shola made a good play inside the box, hitting a powerful shot looking for the corner, but the ball went up and out for a goal kick. The Rio de Janeiro Red-Black team fought until the end, but ended up leaving the field with the defeat.

Next appointment
The Garotos do Ninho return to the field on Saturday (13) to face Botafogo, at 10 am, in Gávea, for the 6th round of the Under-20 Guanabara Cup. And for the Brasileirão, the team led by Filipe Luís travels to São Paulo, and faces Corinthians in the 14th round, next week.
