In the 15th round of the Brasileirão Sub-20, Flamengo imposed itself against São Paulo and won 4-2 on Sunday morning (12), in Gávea. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Thiaguinho, André, Noga and Matheus França. With the result, Mengão reached 27 points and climbed a few positions in the league table.

The game
The match started fairly evenly, with both teams looking to attack. Gradually, the Ninho Boys began to loosen up and began occupying more of the attacking zone, trying to penetrate São Paulo's defense.

The São Paulo team, in turn, barely threatened João Fernando's goal. With few chances created, the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to dominate possession and pressure São Paulo. In the 10th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! After a corner, the ball fell to Thiaguinho, who took it first time to score a stunning goal: 1-0.

It didn't take long for Flamengo to extend their lead. In the 12th minute, André, well positioned in the six-yard box, tapped the ball into the back of the net: 2-0. The Boys from the Nest wanted more, and in the 23rd minute, Noga headed in the third for Flamengo: 3-0.

São Paulo then pulled one back with João Adriano: 3-1. Mengão didn't let it go and extended their lead even further in the 38th minute. In a beautiful play on the right, Matheus França burst into the box and slotted the ball into the corner to score Flamengo's fourth goal: 4-1.

Tricolor Paulista scored another goal in the 41st minute with Vitinho: 4-2. In a very lively second half with attacks working, Mais Querido showed its strength at home and left the field with a beautiful victory over the then championship leader.

Next appointment
The Garotos do Ninho return to the field next Thursday (16) to face Botafogo, at 15 pm, in Gávea, for the second leg of the Carioca Sub-20 semi-finals.
