In the fourth round of the Guanabara Under-15 Cup, Flamengo thrashed Volta Redonda 4-0 on Saturday afternoon (4), in Gávea. Mengão's goals were scored by Lorran (twice), Guilherme and Bill. With the victory, Mais Querido remained at the top of the championship with the most positive attack in the competition.

The game
The match started off fiercely contested, with a fierce battle for possession. The Ninho Boys took the initiative and went on the attack, looking to open the scoring in the opening minutes. Volta Redonda, meanwhile, waited for Flamengo in their own half and looked to counterattack.

In the 14th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! The ball fell to Lorran, who controlled it inside the box and fired a powerful shot into the goalkeeper's left corner: 1-0. Rubro-Negro, who had more possession and created the better chances, went into the break ahead.

Early in the second half, Flamengo extended their lead! Felipe made a beautiful solo run down the right, took the ball to the byline, and crossed into the box. The ball bounced around the box, but Guilherme picked it up first time and unleashed a powerful shot to make it 2-0 for Flamengo.

Shortly thereafter, the Mais Querido extended their lead even further. In the 14th minute, Bill delivered a perfect free kick from the right, sending it into the corner: 3-0. The Nest Boys were hungry for goals and added another. Lorran stole the ball at the edge of the box, cut to the left, and unleashed a powerful shot that bulged the net: 4-0.

In the final minutes, the red-black team managed the result and left the field with another victory, maintaining their 100% record in the championship.

Next appointment
The Garotos do Ninho return to the field next Saturday (11) to face Bangu, at 9 am, in Gávea, for the fifth round of the Under-15 Guanabara Cup.
