In the second phase of the U-17 Brazil Cup, Flamengo delivered a resounding 6-0 thrashing of Gama-DF on Tuesday morning (7), in Gávea. Mengão's goals were scored by Victor Hugo (four times) and Lucas Matheus (twice). With the result, Mengão qualified for the round of XNUMX of the competition and will face the winner of Sport and Cruzeiro.

The game
Flamengo started the match relying on its hallmark: possession in attack. In the seventh minute, Petterson hit the post and nearly scored Mengão's first goal. Ten minutes later, the Flamengo number 11 took a skillful free kick, but the ball grazed the goalkeeper's right post.

In the 27th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Vinicius received the ball in the box, took it to the byline, and rolled it back. Victor Hugor took it first time and bulged the net: 1-0. Flamengo continued to dominate the action and extended their lead in the 41st minute. After a corner, Victor Hugo again pushed it into the goal: 2-0.

In the second half, Flamengo maintained their intensity and continued to attack in search of more goals. In the 9th minute, Victor Hugo scored his hat trick of the match. Eduardo Gabriel crossed into the box and the number 10 headed the ball into the net: 3-0. Two minutes later, Victor Hugo set up Lucas Matheus, who had to tap the ball into the net from inside the six-yard box: 4-0.

He was unstoppable! Gávea's number 10 burst down the right, burst into the box, and slotted the ball into the corner to score his fourth goal (his ninth in the Copa do Brasil) and Flamengo's fifth: 5-0. In the 24th minute, Vinicius made an excellent play inside the box, cut past the defender, and struck a powerful shot. Lucas Matheus tapped in the rebound, scoring his second goal of the game and Flamengo's sixth: 6-0.

The Ninho Boys still had chances to score a seventh. The referee blew the final whistle, and Mengão left the field with a resounding 6-0 rout in Gávea.
