On Friday afternoon (17), Flamengo drew 1-1 with Botafogo in the sixth round of the Guanabara Cup U-15, at CEFAT. The Mais Querido faced Botafogo in three different categories in the last two days and came away with a very positive result. Victory for the U-17, for the U-20 and a draw for the U-15, looking for the result at the end of the match. The Garotos do Ninho face Vasco in the next round of the Guanabara Cup and are already looking towards the final stretch of the competition.

The game

In the first minute, Bill was released on the edge of the box, but the linesman flagged for offside. On his way out, Lorran stole the ball and created Mais Querido's first big chance of the game. The striker's shot went just wide. Lorran then ran down the left and crossed the ball to Dudu in the middle of the box, who couldn't finish. Flamengo put on intense pressure.

In the fourth minute, Bill received the ball at the edge of the box and went forward. After clearing the marker, he shot wide. The Ninho Boys continued pressing, and after a beautiful pass from Edmilson, Bill received the ball on the left and shot just wide. In the space of five minutes, Flamengo created four good scoring chances.

In the 17th minute, Lucyan pulled off a beautiful dribble down the right flank and was fouled. Leonardo's shot was headed by Dudu, forcing a great save from the Botafogo goalkeeper. Edmilson fired the ball wide.

Shortly after the timeout, Botafogo opened the scoring. Raphael Teixeira made a fine save from a corner kick, but Fabiano scored on the rebound. In the final part of the first half, the red-and-black team felt the blow of the goal and couldn't maintain the dominance they had shown at the beginning of the match.

After the break, the Garotos do Ninho regained their intensity and went in search of an equalizer.

In the sixth minute, after a beautiful exchange of passes, Edmilson's shot was blocked. In the eighth minute, Lorran advanced down the left and crossed into the box, but the ball was too powerful. With 6 minutes left on the clock, Bill was dispossessed before he could finish the move. Then, from Bill's own corner kick, the ball sailed dangerously past everyone.

In the final stretch, a pass from goalkeeper Raphael Teixeira gave Alexander a free pass down the left, but Botafogo's goalkeeper came out and blocked the play. Edmilson's cross was met by Victor's header, but the ball was weak. After Botafogo's counterattacks, Raphael Teixeira sealed Mengão's goal.

As the referee signaled stoppage time, Edmilson received the ball on the right and crossed to Luan Andrey, who narrowly missed the goal. Schlickmann battled for the ball in midfield and made a great pass to Alexander, but the Botafogo goalkeeper came out well. Lorran then shot wide.

In the 37th minute, with a shot from Lorran, the Botafogo defender failed and the ball fell to David, who finished inside the box, almost scoring the equalizer for Flamengo.

Then, all the red-and-black effort paid off! After a corner kick, the ball crossed the field and fell to the other side for Marcão to cross. Germano, who came on midway through the second half, rose higher than everyone and headed the ball into the back of the net. It was a 1-1 equalizer for Mengão.

Flamengo still tried to turn the match around, but Germano's goal gave the final score to the match.

After the match, the teams contested penalty kicks to earn another point. Botafogo won the shootout 3-2.

The U-15s return to the field on Saturday (25), at 9 am, in Gávea, to face Vasco in the 7th round of the U-15 Guanabara Cup.
