In penalties, Mengão beat Fluminense 6-5 and won the Copa Rio Sub-15 title
The match ended in a 1-1 draw after regulation time. With this victory, Flamengo's youth team reached its 12th title of the year.

It's champion! In the second leg of the Copa Rio Sub-15 final, played this Sunday afternoon (1), in Gávea, Flamengo drew with Fluminense 1-1 in normal time. After falling behind, the Garotos do Ninho came back and equalized with Guilherme Gomes. As everything ended in a draw, the decision went to penalties and Mengão won 6-5, in a thrilling shootout. With this latest achievement, Flamengo's youth football reached its 12th title of the year.
The game
The match started evenly, with both teams cautiously studying each other. Flamengo's youth team tried to attack, but struggled to reach the opponent's penalty area. Fluminense, in turn, exploited Flamengo's mistakes to counter-attack. In the 30th minute, Pedrinho received the ball inside the area and his shot was blocked by the Fluminense defense. With few clear scoring opportunities, the first half ended 0-0.
In the second half, Flamengo returned with a different attitude and began to attack the opponent's goal more. But it was Fluminense who opened the scoring. Foguete crossed into the area and Gustavo headed it in: 1-0.
At 23 minutes, Lucyan crossed into the box, Luan Andrey headed the ball, and it went just wide of the post. After much pressure, Flamengo scored the equalizer at 38 minutes. Following a rebound in the box, Guilherme Gomes, who had just come on, unleashed a beautiful shot from outside the area, making it 1-1. The match went to penalties.
In the penalty shootout, Flamengo prevailed, winning 6-5. On the final kick, Caio Barone shone, saving the shot and securing the U-15 Rio Cup title for the team from Gávea.
