Clube de Regatas do Flamengo - under new management since January 1st and whose crisis office continues to operate this Sunday (February 10th), at the Gávea headquarters - hereby provides the following additional clarifications:

Flamengo would like to reiterate that, regardless of any investigation, it has been providing full support to the families of the athletes who were victims of the tragedy that occurred at the Training Center, as well as to the injured and survivors. 

At this time, the Club is committed to maintaining the remuneration paid to athletes who were victims of the fire, without prejudice to other additional support actions that are being implemented.

We are committed, above all, to supporting families materially, morally, and psychologically. Beyond legal issues, of course, everyone's well-being is paramount. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo did not reach such prominence in world sport by turning its back on its athletes or shirking its responsibilities. And the Nação Rubro-Negra recognizes this.  

It should be noted that Flamengo has a current lease agreement for modular housing (housing modules) with NHJ do Brasil, a company recognized as a pioneer and market leader. NHJ holds all the certifications required by Brazilian law, particularly ISO 9001. The housing modules used by the Club meet all the requirements of NR-18 and NR-24 standards. 

It is worth noting that representatives of the company NHJ - in a meeting held this Sunday morning, at the Gávea headquarters - clarified that the polyurethane used between the metal sheets is not a fire propagator, as it has a self-extinguishing characteristic.

The company COLMAN REFRIGERAÇÃO LTDA. – ME, registered with the CNPJ under number 00.634.203/0001-30, performed on February 5th the routine preventive maintenance on the 6 air conditioning units installed in the modular accommodation used by the athletes of the youth categories of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, at the George Helal Training Center - under the terms of the service provision contract signed on August 1st, 2013 and currently valid until August 31st, 2019. 

All other issues will be addressed, at the appropriate time, with the competent authorities with whom Flamengo is already collaborating.
