Recruitment is one of the pillars of the new philosophy implemented in the youth categories of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The project of technical partnerships with clubs throughout Brazil is considered a strategic action, of extreme importance to improve the discovery of talent. In pursuit of closer ties and unification of methodologies with its partners, the process coordinator and the market manager of the Flamengo youth categories, José Rodrigo and Leonan Kasali, respectively, made a technical visit on March 31st and April 1st to the Wilson Goiano Sports Center, in the city of Trindade, Goiás.

The duo completed a two-day immersion at Wilson Goiano, one of Flamengo's four partner clubs. José Rodrigo and Leonam gave a presentation to teachers, athletes, and their parents, detailing talent development and the methodology used by the club, with the aim of strengthening the partnership and bringing the work model closer together.

Beyond the theory, the field and the ball couldn't be left out. The work on and off the field was carefully observed in person by the two, who were able to put the concepts presented in the auditorium into practice. The structure of the sports center, in fact, caught the attention of José Rodrigo and Leonan.

Located on its own property spanning over 300 square meters, CE Wilson Goiano boasts a stadium, two official natural grass fields, six synthetic pitches, and a futsal gymnasium, in addition to a fitness center, physiotherapy facilities, and an auditorium. The program works with 250 athletes, from the under-7 to under-17 age groups, all of whom undergo high-performance training.

Considered very important, the technical visits are part of several actions Flamengo takes with its four partner clubs in the youth categories. The other three are Inter de Minas, from Itaúna (Minas Gerais), Tolentino, from Itapitanga (Bahia) and Azuriz, from Pato Branco (Paraná). Last December, athletes and coaching staff from the four clubs met for five days at the George Helal Training Center, where they were able to enjoy the same facilities offered to Flamengo's youth athletes.

The ball training sessions were obviously part of the "Partner Clubs Festival" project, but other activities were also carried out, such as workshops in the areas of social work, pedagogy, nutrition, and psychology, addressing important aspects of life in general, not necessarily those of an athlete, reinforcing the objective of first forming citizens and then, football players.
