The youth team faces Palmeiras seeking a place in the next phase of the international tournament
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inWith two wins in two matches in the Eurofarma Super Cup, Flamengo's youth team has everything it needs to secure qualification for the next stage of the international competition this Thursday (July 29.07), in Barueri. At 16 pm, the Rubro-Negro faces Palmeiras, and depending on the result of Peñarol and Porto, they could even leave the field defeated and, even so, advance to the knockout stage.
\Both Palmeiras and Peñarol have three points and remain hopeful of qualifying. Porto, which has lost both games so far, is already eliminated. However, if it beats the Uruguayans, it will automatically qualify Flamengo and Palmeiras, who would then be battling for first place in the group.
\"Regardless of the other results or whether we need a result to qualify, we're going to go out there and win. Flamengo always goes out there and wins, and it won't be any different this time," said left-back Jorbison, who, despite suffering from a cold in the first few games, expects to be 100% fit against Palmeiras.
\"I'm happy to be performing well. Thank God the team is determined to win this title and I'll continue to give my all to help us achieve victories," he added.
\Despite Galhardo's good performances in midfield and the introduction of Eliabe, who decided the match against Porto, coach Paulo Henrique should maintain the same lineup that started the game against Peñarol and the Portuguese team itself, with Cesar, Galhardo, China, Marlon and Jorbison; Maycon, João Vitor, Guilherme and Ricardinho; Carlyle and Dudu.
