This Wednesday (30.04), the under-20 boys return to the field for the Rio Junior Cup. Undefeated so far in the return leg of the Campeonato Carioca, with four consecutive victories, the boys will be looking for their fifth victory against Macaé, at the opponent's Training Center.

Midfielder Caio Quiroga celebrates the good form of Marcelo Buarque's team and says there is no lack of desire to maintain the rhythm of the first rounds.

"The team has been getting better since Marcelo took over, and we're always looking to improve. What we have in mind against the so-called 'small teams' is that they're very good, and we have to pay close attention and show them respect. No matter who we play, we go out there to win and score goals from the first minute. Marcelo teaches us that we must always give our best, regardless of the opponent," he said.

Quiroga assures that in the Rio Cup, the team will go after the title, thus earning the right to compete in the state championship against Fluminense, the Guanabara Cup champion. The youngster already knows the direction the team should take.

"It's about maintaining our aggressive stance to achieve more and more victories, with the ball at our feet, but also without it. We let it slip in the first round, after finishing first in the points, but we're determined to reach the final and win, whoever our opponent is," he concluded.
