Flamengo agreed, as did the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation (FFERJ), and the match was rescheduled for next Wednesday (April 14.04).
For coach Armênio Moura, the decision was fair. He says having a few more days to prepare the team can make a big difference when the ball rolls.
"We had some work to do and managed to schedule a match for Wednesday. América accepted, and that will be good for both teams. We'll be able to work better and get the team in order," he said.
