Ninho do Urubu had a different morning this Monday (15). The presence of the 50 students enrolled in the Flamengo Academy changed the routine of the CT and, without time for detours, the first lecture started punctually at 8:30 am, when the director of youth football Alfredo Almeida welcomed everyone and kicked off the sharing of the methodology of the youth categories of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The director broke down several points and issues that usually appear in his daily agenda. The second day of the course will have Zico's lecture as the main attraction, Tuesday (16).

Alfredo Almeida, the mastermind behind Flamengo Academy, delivered the first lecture of the workshop "DNA Rubro-Negro – An Immersion in Flamengo's Methodology," which launched the training platform inspired by Flamengo's experience as a club known for developing talent. The executive discussed the theme "DNA Rubro-Negro: the culture of Flamengo" and expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the platform's debut.

"It was great to see the auditorium full of people. The first objective was achieved. It was a success. The presentations on this first day provided valuable knowledge for the audience who had a common denominator: the passion for football. It is only the beginning of a great journey," assures Almeida, remembering that the Flamengo Academy is only beginning and will only end next Friday (19), after many lectures, practical work on the field and roundtables, among other activities.

The second presentation was given by José Rodrigo, coordinator of youth football processes at Flamengo. After talking a bit about his career path, he addressed the topic "Global Vision in Athlete Development," discussing the organizational structure of all areas of operation in the youth categories, briefly explaining each sector and the integrated functioning of all employees at the youth training center.

After lunch and a tour of all the youth academy areas at the George Helal Training Center, it was time for Patricia Negreiros, coordinator of the human development department, to demonstrate the importance of her work with the theme "Human Development: the athlete beyond the four lines". Negreiros recounted a bit about her arrival at the club, initially in the area of ​​pedagogy, and demonstrated why being responsible for one of the few departments can change the course of an athlete's recruitment. Other fundamental actions for the development of children, adolescents, and young people, who even have the possibility of becoming athletes, were also discussed.

It was up to educator Beatriz Silva and social workers Amanda Caicó and Larissa Lira to continue the work carried out by the human development department in the lecture "Human Development in Practice". Alongside Patricia Negreiros, they explained and demonstrated the projects developed to provide complete preparation for the Flamengo athletes.

Throughout the day, an attentive audience had the opportunity to learn about the work of Flamengo's youth academy and see for themselves that training is a priority, without ever abandoning the Rubro-Negro DNA, immortalized in the club's anthem, in the words "win, win, win". Flamengo produces stars at home. Training and developing athletes, too.
