Starting this Wednesday (October 07.10th), Flamengo's Official Website will offer fans a weekly series of reports and interviews that will present the club's restructured youth football department. The integrated work format, which has been implemented for three years, involves physical and technological advances, as well as the hiring of specialized professionals from the market.
The player development process involves eight integrated departments, led by Carlos Noval, the director responsible for the youth academy, along with technical coordinators Léo Inácio and Carlos Eduardo Borges, administrative coordinator Vinicius Costa, and supervisors José Carlos Freitas, Marcos Lourenço, and Gabriel Barreiro. All departments work to nurture new talent, starting at age nine.
In June 2015, Flamengo adapted and received the Training Club Certificate. This certification follows a series of rigorous criteria that take into account technical and structural aspects that must be offered to young people who make up the youth categories.
In addition to highlighting specific technical aspects of the sport, athletes receive professional support in other areas that, directly or indirectly, influence their performance and response to the training proposed at this important stage of their careers.
Over the next few weeks, every Wednesday, you'll learn how each department works:
- Psychology;
- Doctor;
- Social Service;
- Physiology;
- Nutrition;
- Technical Committees;
- Pedagogy;
- Intelligence and Market Center;
