After the Copinha finalPresident Eduardo Bandeira de Mello praised the team that won the cup this Monday morning (January 25.01th) at Arena Pacaembu. The leader recalled the team's characteristics, with the traditional Flamengo formations always full of grit, love, and passion.
"We saw here that it's a team of high technical quality, that brings that fighting spirit, characteristic of Flamengo fans. We lost 2-0 but played well. Then we managed to tie and, in the penalty shootout, we sealed the victory. I think several of these players will help us a lot in the main team, but that's something Muricy has to decide and I know he will decide at the right time," he revealed.
With the victory over Corinthians in São Paulo, Flamengo achieved its third consecutive Copa São Paulo de Juniores title. The team also won the trophy in 1990 and 2011.
