Spectacular comeback! The Boys from Ninho took to the field this Saturday morning (10) to face Corinthians in the first leg of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship final, at Pacaembu. After trailing by two goals, Mengão pulled off a heroic comeback and beat the home team 4-3. The goals for the Mais Querido were scored by Lázaro (2), Ryan Luka and Carlos Daniel. With the result, Flamengo takes the advantage of a draw into the second leg of the final.

The game
In the 14th minute, Pedro Arthur made a good move down the right flank and sent a dangerous cross into the middle of the box. The ball went low past Carlos Daniel, who couldn't finish. In the 18th minute, Mengão threatened Corinthians again, after a great cross from Marcos Felipe on the right side of the red-and-black attack, but Weverton headed over the bar. Corinthians continued to press until, in the 23rd minute, Riquelme hit the crossbar with a powerful shot, and Cauê scored on the rebound: 1-0 to the home team.

The Ninho Boys went looking to equalize the score. In the 34th minute, Carlos Daniel received the ball in attack, beautifully dribbled past the defender, and fired a powerful shot. Corinthians goalkeeper Donelli cleared it for a corner. In the 39th minute, Corinthians scored their second. David shot under the red-and-black goalkeeper to extend the lead. And the first half ended with the black-and-whites ahead: 2-0.

Early in the second half, Mengão pulled one back. Caio received the ball on the left wing and sent a low cross to top scorer Lázaro, who fired a first-time shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 2-1. Corinthians reacted quickly, and shortly after the ball was released, Keven challenged the red-and-black defense, and the ball fell to Cauê, who scored his second goal of the match: 3-1. But the Boys from the Nest didn't give up and pressed forward. In the 8th minute, Caio was brought down inside the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Lázaro fired a shot into the left corner for his second goal of the match: 3-2.

Flamengo gradually loosened up and went on the attack to equalize. In the 17th minute, Lázaro's shot hit the crossbar, and after a goalkeeper's deflection, the ball fell to Ryan Luka, who tapped it into the net to level the score at Pacaembu Stadium: 3-3. The Boys from the Nest wanted more, went on the attack, and turned the game around! Carlos Daniel received the ball on the right wing, slipped between two defenders, burst into the Corinthians box, and finished from the left to put the "Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved) ahead: 3-4.
